Brighter Dark Theatre was founded by Thomas McLeod in 2023 and has been an artistic force in Winnipeg and Western Canada ever since.

Joining forces with director and producer Theresa Thomson, Brighter Dark Theatre put on two shows that sold out rooms in the Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Vancouver Fringe Festivals.

House of Gold sold out its eleven-show run at the 2024 Winnipeg Fringe Festival, landing a 5-star review from the Winnipeg Free Press and a place on the shortlist for the Harry S. Rintoul Award.

Third Party delighted audiences across Western Canada and received 5 stars from the Edmonton Journal, 4.5 stars from the Free Press, and the runner-up prize for the Rintoul.
